Two things would have to happen for Barry Bonds to be traded: the San Francisco Giants would have to decide to deal their slugger, perhaps while he's still on the verge of breaking baseball's all-time home run record, and Bonds would have to waive his no-trade clause.
Giants General Manager Brian Sabean wouldn't rule out trading Bonds before the July 31 trade deadline. How would Bonds feel about that?
"They can trade me," Bonds said. "They can do that. I don't think they will, though. It's not like I want to be traded, man. I'm a Giant. I'm stuck here till the end."
